(no subject)

I haven't been this drunk in a loooong time.
I blame the drink called the "zombie". And Jawbreaker.

Damn. Not even midnight.

I am getting old.

I would like to drink them with you! Except for this vaguely awful feeling in my tummy and head that says I won't be drinking them again with anyone for quite a while.

Hiya! I didn't know you were on the El-Jay!

Yep, Fongs. The first one seemed to make me forget that I'm a lightweight.

tee hee, i "friended" you a while ago....

David Fongs' is great! and the zombie makes anyone into a light weight, believe me.

What's the deal with this horror movie score you're doing? What's the movie?

And...

HOLY CRAP! Other people know about Fong's? Word of advice: don't go there for lunch. Once upon a time, one of my co-workers asked what the stuffing was for the stuffed shrimp. The answer was, "I don't know, but when you try it you can tell me." He ordered it and he still didn't know.

The movie is called "Echoes", it's a short film that a friend of mine, [livejournal.com profile] happydoc made a couple years ago. It's more drama than horror, I'd say, but still has jumpy bits and plenty of creepiness.

The funny thing about Fong's is that it was my grandparents faaaavorite reataurants - they probably started going there shortly after it opened in the fifties- and now these other people I know go there but mostly to drink. It was really common for my whole extended family to meet at my grandparents house and get Fong's takeout. I've actually never heard complaints about their food and I've always enjoyed the things I get, but then, they only have one or two vegetarian dishes.
