Derby.

Good practice, good mood. I've been hitting more when we scrimmage, which has been fun. Except for clocking Anethesia really hard right in the ear. I'm not sure if that was my elbow or my shoulder (apparently they are both similarly pointy), but it looked like it hurt. Oops. One of my new teammates says I giggle when I knock girls down, which is a little disconcerting for her. I didn't realize I did that.

Heh heh heh.

That hit on Anesthesia was incredibly brutal - if there had been third row seats, that's where she would have ended up!

I never know how hard I should hit at practice. I had a great t-line on Dude last night, but it was either dodge her or flatten her, so I had to let her go. Humbug!

You need to start jamming more, so I can get in some good guilt-free smooshing. *evil grin*

P.S.: I mean brutal in only the most happy, loving way. :)

Ah, derby love. :)
(What do you mean by T-line?)
Dunno, I kinda feel like that's what practice is for, unless we specifically state that we want to take it easy beforehand. Or, of course, if someone's recovering from injury like Frau. I mean, I know we don't want to kill each other, especially our own teammates, but if I don't practice it in practice, I'm not going to be prepared to give (or take) hard hits in a bout.

I just don't understand why you people don't understand the completely-obscure-made-up-by-me-and-told-to-nobody lingo I constantly use. :P

In any case, it's a little bit difficult to explain. It's when the jammer is arching around the top of the rink, at their weakest, and I, as a blocker, am still traveling in a straight line with all of my momentum. You hit the jammer at a 90 degreeish angle, and all of your momentum impacts into them.

In any case, I guess I'll just hit full out then, and if anybody complains, I'll just say that kHz told me to. ;)
