Dreams

Hard to wake up today, I was having a strange mix of dreams. First I was in a car, trying to get away from fire and rioting; next I had convinced 433 to let me work in his new store, which was a mix between some kind of specialty craft store and Ax-Man. It was a store basically built for people who read either Craft or Make, or both, and had electronics supplies and small project circuit boards as well as other hardware and art and craft supplies. Like, if a store-eating monster went on a binge and ate up Ax-Man and Ambles and Dick Blick and Crafty Planet or Bobby Bead and then threw up, you'd have the store that was in my dream. They had a class schedule and volunteer hours of some kind. It was really pretty cool, too bad I'm not less fuzzy on the details. I'd like to shop there.

Good company and conversation last night. It reinforced that I really should make more effort to see people that I miss, instead of sitting around and getting into pockets of melancholy about the fact that I don't. It is time for a sensor session, and maybe a Wednesday dinner. I am busy, but something regular, maybe once or twice a month, would do a great deal for me feeling connected to people again, I think.

That's strange, I had a dream just a couple of days ago about a similar shop. Mine included some art for sale as well. It worked on the honor system, there was only an open cash box to pay. I was mad in the dream because I couldn't find the dragon fly stick pins I had seen in bulk before, and there was no staff to ask. What I was going to do with those stick pins, I'm not sure.
