Between the sauna our house had become and crazy roadtrips with early departures and hospital stays and whatnot, I don't feel as though I'd had a really good, solid night's sleep in quite a while. Until last night. I fell asleep at 10 while I was reading (this NEVER happens), woke up at 11 to put on pyjamas and turn out the light, and slept straight through until 8.

It was awesome. It feels so much like sleep I only tend to get on the weekend that it seems really weird that I should go to work today.

he's well! he's happy not to have to do the wound dressing anymore, and all of his guts are staying where they ought to, which is always good!
