My Ion is extra-toasty. While it had the same symptoms as the trouble last time, (which resulted in the best-case scenario of a one-day fix and a bill under $100) this time it's different. Apparently the trouble lies somewhere in the digital to analog conversion, and they need to send it to the mothership to figure out precisely where.

This definitely means I won't have it for my show at Burning Man, and depending on the eventual repair bill, it might not be worth even fixing at all.

Blah.

Maybe I should just do an improv heavy, mostly saxophone set or something. I could substitute with the prophet, but it's unreliable as is- has signs of wear on the contacts again - and I don't feel comfortable bringing it to the desert. Hrm.

gah! I've been having mad synth problems as well. so lame. I've now initiated the [most likely] epic process of getting warranty repair work done on my waldorf.
