After much frustration, I have a working copy of Reason (that will likely be upgraded shortly anyway...) I'm going to try to use it as a composition tool in the absence of my sampler, which new reports claim may be out of service for another four months. Ugh.

Makes me feel amazingly frustrated about getting projects done to have one of my primary tools break severely - twice - in such short a time, and to likely have it out of service for the better part of a year. They don't leave your *car* sitting in the shop four-eight months, why my keyboard? It's worth more to me than my car by quite a shot in more ways than one. This doesn't seem weird to me, but I guess it probably is. I also thought that, around the time it's scheduled to come back repaired for an as of yet unknown sum of money, I'll inconveniently be putting all my extra cash into the trip to Burning Man. Hate that feeling of the universe being against you; also have the nagging recognition of such feelings as self-indulgent wallowing when there're people with Real Problems. A lot of them in Iraq. Anyway.

Reason works; I'm glad.

I guess no one else knows if I should go to grad school either, eh? ;)
Oh well.

that's just it... I don't really know if it's what I want to do, but it might be. I loved school in a lot of ways; I dislike it in as many ways, too.

If you think you'll learn more, or it will create an advantage for you somehow... you should definately go for it.
Just as long as you're not doing it just so you can earn more money (which I don't think is a good enough reason in your book anyhow). but that might make it very unsatisfying if it was the only reason.

You could always go part time, right? And then again grad school is only a couple of years, and I think they treat you better (or more seriously?). Or at least that's what my sister claims, and she's in grad school for Recreation Management.
