EDIT:
Apologies to echo and all other parties who were concerned. I really didn't mean to be a jerk. After so long, cutting off my dreadies really did, kinda to my surprise, make me a teary-eyed drama-pants incapable of leaving my house unless it was to go to a salon and fix the post-dread mess that was my head.

S4, on the other hand, posted his reply completely meaning to lead people to think we'd broken up while I was in the shower. I was still dripping in a towel and didn't know what he'd written when I already had really confusing supportive phone calls coming in from my super-awesome friends. While admittedly, I found this pretty freaking hilarious, I was still upset about my weird, poofy, non-dreaded, non-fixed-by-a-salon-yet hair and didn't wanna talk about it, so I just deleted the whole post, which, of course, by the laws of lj-drama, just made things a lot worse.

So! Never fear, S4 and I are perfectly fine. (Except for the weepy mess that was made when he tried to make me feel better by reminding me how I could wear hats again, now. Yeah, Smooooth.)

So yeah. Uhm. It feels really weird. I'm still kinda freaked out and not really sure what to think. I bought "product" today, and that plus my salon visit was my reintroduction, save the DIY bleach and dye, to a bewildering world of consumerism that I'd voluntarily and happily spared myself for the last decade or two. So thank you very much for the flood of OMFGit'sthesupercutesthaircutEVAR comments, it's making me feel better. This has been a rather humbling venture into uncomfortably girly territory, which is pretty humorously ironic considering I haven't had a haircut this butch since first grade.

Love,

um your hair looks rad.

anyway you'd have to work pretty hard to damage your cuteness with hair. too bad about making your mum happy. :)

are you LOVING running your fingers through your hair in the shower? i *still* appreciate being able to do that a year on from taking my dreads out, and i only had dread-type hair for 3 years.

also i've gotta recommend BIG from Lush. it lathers way better on uber-damaged post-dread hair, though, after you've already washed it with something else.

also, i have to 2nd s4s lame hat remark, only i have to add wigs to the pile. i'm appreciating the ability to wear both hats and wigs *way* more than i was expecting to.
