Realized there's yet another track I have to basically recreate. Gaah! I swear, I'm never "reorganizing" my files ever again. At least not until I have a much better grasp on where the hell Live likes to put stuff without telling me.
In this case, I have the clips, but not the arrangement. In other cases its vice-versa (I've never not had *neither*, which is something, at least.) I looked, but they're gooooone. I also have .wav/.aiff mixdowns for everything, so, at least I have a reference of what I *did*, which is handy. I almost have everything that I need to rebuild rebuilt, and in a lot of cases I wanted to remix/rerecord some *anyway*, but it's still pretty irritating and has wasted time. The worst was needing to recreate facsimiles of old gameboy loops just because that interface is so wonky (of course, the originals were loops I created before I replaced the battery inside the cartridge, which made it impossible to save anything, so I'd just sampled them as I went.) Fortunately all the Ion stuff remained intact, since I can't re-record that, though I'll have to recreate Ion-esque replacement patches before I play live again anyway.
I also suck in that I overwrote my earlier backup with a more recent backup that happened, of course, *after* I realized this was all missing. Aaaah.
Actually, I take that back. There was one that I lost both a lot of the files and the arrangement, but it was one that I'd wanted to make some significant changes to anyway.

In any case, could be worse.
