I came in late to work so I could get extra sleep, hoping it'd help the throat. It didn't really, plus now the coworkers who weren't sick before the holidays have become sick, except for my poor boss who never got well and is going on sick for about 3 weeks. Eek.

I've been reading a bit about home cures for sore throats and cayenne pepper comes up a lot. I like cayenne pepper anyway, so I'm trying some cayenne gargling and seeing if it helps. I'm thankful that, so far anyway, it's only a sore throat and the rest of me feels fine, no stuffiness or unexplainable achyness. If it ramps down instead of up in the next day or two, I'll still consider myself lucky. It's been quite a long time since I've gotten sick at all.

For me, warm salt water helps a lot. I make a mug of it and gargle the whole mug (in mouthfuls). It tastes gross but it's very healthy for your throat.

A sore throat is where I started. Now I'm full blown sinus infection.

Feel better soon. Let me know if you want any guinness and ice cream.

I like the Jason "Healthy Mouth" tea tree oil mouthwash when I have a sore throat. It's soothing, and kills germs, too.
