spacebugGot to spend all day in the studio yesterday, which was nice. I did take a break to make some very delicious homemade bread.
I'm figuring out my new live configuration. So far, I'm pretty happy with it, though as I expected, my computer is being pushed really hard. Harder than I'd feel comfy in front of an audience for fear of cutouts and crashes. I might be able to bend MIDI to my will to make things work the way I wish using fewer resources (or, in Canada, rezources!) Otherwise, I will probably be taking the leap and upgrading my computer before I have to play at the end of February. Eek. I think my pocketbook can take it, so long as I get a reasonable amount for my current one.
Other studio gear I'm looking at parting with:
Silver, 2-tier A-frame keyboard stand w/ drawstring bag. Similar to this guy, but a bit shorter. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/OnStage-Stands-KS7902-2Tier-A-Frame-Keyboard-Stand?sku=452070: $50
4 rackspace SKB flight case, full-length: (like this guy: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/SKB-4Space-Rack-Case?sku=544604&src=3SOSWXXA , except the back has a plastic panel instead of a fully latched cover.) A bit scratched up, but in very good shape. $75

In perfect shape, with rack hardware. $120

Derby practice was canceled yesterday, which bummed me out a little. I feel like I'm slowly but surely turning to mush over the holiday break, and finding myself missing my ladies.
