I'm home from Low Orbit's first-ever-show, and it went so well! (after the few technical glitchy things got solved, that is, I had a good scare for a minute or three.) So many people showed up and everyone said such great things about us and the other bands and dj's were super fun to play with and it all felt very friendly and communal. Thanks to doloresdewberry for setting it all up and baking us all some very lovely cupcakes. I was pretty unprepared for the massive crowd response- usually shows at the Dinkytowner are more audio wallpaper and our stuff is pretty mellow... but we've already got a tenative show in July and requests for recordings and the possibility of a write-up in the City Pages. After one show! I hope I'm not jinxing myself, but it's all quite exciting, especially after not playing out in so long.
So thanks to everyone who came- dangerdhotrod and birdfigment and rahna and star5 and djnoise and alisgray and vaxjo and piedpiper and eiregirl and dcontaminant (even if ya missed us ;) and everyone else too, and thanks to s4 for the visuals and thanks to star5 for the photos (already!) and I can't wait to do it again. yep.

I suck. I was so wrapped up in my own madnesses that I lost track of when your show was. I'd been looking forward to checking it out since you mentioned it to me at the Saloon quite some time ago. Anyway, glad it went well for you. I'll be looking forward to future performances.
