An open letter to a party unlikely to respond

Dear Mr. President,

Thank you for my impending "Economic Stimulus Payment" of $600.

You know what I'd like more than a spare $600?
More than a pony?
You know what I think would be better for our economy, the American people, and the world in general?

A fucking exit strategy.

Still counting the days until you're out of office,

How 'bout we work out some sort of deal where I take your $600, and in exchange, I'll vote twice for whatever Democrat wins the primary? ;)

Vote early and often!
It's not like I don't appreciate the extra dough, it just feels like such a pittance of an afterthought and nothing like a real solution. Is giving poor folks a little extra spending money really going to kickstart us out of recession? Solve the mortgage craziness? Honestly? I know little about economics so, I dunno, but it just smells like Reaganomics without the middleman, to quote S4, or like something W did in a sorry attempt to lessen his asshole-rating among the non-billionaires of the world. I dunno.

"What war?" "Hey, look, a quarter!"

That's a fucking great quote...tell him I said so...

Honestly, I think it's a terrible idea - we're incredibly in debt, and the more money we borrow, the less the dollar is worth and the more prices go up to compensate. The inflation rate is crazy as it is, and it's only going to get worse soon!

How about you use the $600 to pay down the national debt? Oh, what? We borrowed the money from China? Hm...

I'm thinking I'll invest mine in Euros.
