MRI came back normal, so, looks like big seizure was (we hope) a one-time brain hiccup. I'm to check in with a doctor in 3 months- if I don't have another seizure by then it's less likely they'll be recurring. For now, I don't have to take anti-seizure medication, for which I'm thankful. I also am now armed with the knowledge of what a pre-convulsive seizure's "aura" feels like (it's strange and distinctive) so I'll be able to recognize it if it happens again and try to get myself as safe as possible if I'm doing something crazy like standing up or driving. I bit my tongue really good at some point during the whole ordeal, but other than that I'm feeling fine.

Off to call Mom, and wash the electrode goo out of my hair. Thanks for all the well-wishes. If nothing weird happens between tonight and tomorrow night, I plan to play some derby, though it probably wouldn't be a bad idea for me to not have a huge amount of rotation.

I'm really happy to hear that you're okay. I've come to realize that while I was technically "following" s4 on Twitter I was receiving SMS messages from him so I didn't hear about this until coming home late last night. Yikes! Sorry you had to go through that, but its good that everything has checked out well.

You don't happen to drink any teas with St. John's Wort do you? Just curious. A friend of Nessa's actually had a really serious seizure last year (they thought it was a brain aneurysm). Turned out it was the St. John's Wort in the tea she had started to drink mixing with one of her medications.

Anyway, stay well. I hope you don't have to see the inside of a hospital again for a long time(ever).
