Bureaucracy

I've had a lot of it recently, little paperwork-y errands that somehow all have been stacking up, taking up an annoying amount of brain space to track down and complete. I cannot wait to be finished, but I'm doing pretty well. In the past week or so, I have:
-attempted to register copyright on my album online (got caught up in a question that hasn't been answered yet so this is still in process)
-had to re-request my driving registration record because their request form is confusing and I did it wrong the first time. (I wanted to have this to help contest the ticket I got on my motorcycle. I paid $9 for a one-page database printout that's indecipherable to me. Awesome. I hope it means something to the judge.)
-had to fill out a packet of medical information and record request forms for follow-up appointments after my seizure. They sent me the wrong packet, so I had to request the right one, after some confusion. Fortunately, the correct packet was far less intimidating than the incorrect one they sent me initially.
-had to track down proof of insurance for my housing cooperative.
-worked with various people to draft a letter related to the process of refinancing our housing cooperative.
I live the Glamorous Life, and how!

performance op?
Date: 2009-01-11 07:08 pm (UTC)I'm planning a fund raiser for the poets going to the Women of the World poetry slam, and am looking to have some talented women performers at the show that aren't poets - to show how awesome of an arts community we have, and hopefully to let you cross-advertise your mad skills.
The event is on Wednesday, Feb. 25th at The Local Pub in their new event room The Hollow. They have music capabilities, but you would probably need to bring your own equipment. There is a small stage, etc.
I will be mad advertising the event and hoping to pull some media attention with it being the week before National Women's History Month and all. If you are interested, please let me know what time slow you would be most interested in: 8, 8:30, 9, 9:30....or if you would prefer doing smaller sets between other performers.
I have sent out invitations to perform to a couple of other spoken word artists and musicians, and am hoping to round out that night with shorter performances by some of our other talented women performers.
If you're interested, give me an email over at cynthia dot french at comcast dot net
