Damn, I'm sore.
Got back a bit ago from the impromptu camping trip with s4. Apparently the memory of the largely uphill, mile-long hike to the Afton campground was fuzzy and a little easier when my dear boy was in high school. No matter, we're tough, and our way-out site was very nice and secluded, allowing me to do things like whup around fire without getting noticed or in trouble. (It'd still probably be best if we didn't tell my mom, though.) This is my second attempt with real, live fire, and the first in total darkness or with photographic evidence. s4 took some damn fine

And as for your question-- absolutely
I think I finally know what I want to do with my bike. It is going to involve getting a hold of some welding equipment though.

welding equipment
Let me know, or anyone in Mpls... Not ready to give/sell it yet. I love welding like nothing else on earth.

(Last year, about this time, Urs & I went camping; at quarter to 10p we decided we'd made a terrible mistake in not brining long pants/long sleeved shirts because the 'squitos were just awful. We raced to, ugh, walmart, and bought some cheap crap to wear so as to keep the bugs off. I like bugs. Just not when they're biting me.)

Maybe I'll petition beth & joe to go camping with them near the end of August.

So yeah, the bugs were bad at sunset. Bad in the swampy woodsy part of the park. Persistent at finding ways through our defenses. But not a one in the tent overnight, and none in the morning.
