So, I'm getting my first paycheck for a whole two weeks of work today. I viewed my pay statement online, and holy cow, between taxes and other deductions, I have almost $250 taken out of every check. I'm still making a fair chunk more than I used to, and I realize I've got union dues and a forced retirement plan in there any everything, but cripes, that's what a whole paycheck was at my old job. Next month there will be even more taken out, as the union lost and we have to pay a lot more for insurance. Eek.

Yeah, doesn't it just beat all that in the more money you make the less money you seem to take home.

Right now my paychecks are pretty fat because I'm not paying for medical so even though I'm making $1.50 less an hour than I was at the Bead I'm taking home more money each week in my paycheck.
