Dreams of underwater

I just remembered that I had a great dream last night. [livejournal.com profile] djnoise and [livejournal.com profile] star5 and I were swimming in the ocean, and I think we could breathe underwater. It was nighttime, and there were a whole bunch of amazing bioluminescent creatures in the water. We were trying to dive really deeply so we could find a specific really large and elusive and beautiful octopus. Noise decided to turn back because the pressure was bothering him diving so deep, but star5 and I went on ahead. Somehow, we swam into a basement where there were tunnels to swim through, and another part of the room where there was regular air and some lights and a small party going on. I remember being disappointed that I didn't have the underwater case for my digital camera to take pictures of the really cool creatures we ran into. We swam out of the party and I think we did finally find the octopus, and it was gigantic and pink and wasn't afraid that we were there. Even though it was nighttime, we could see everything just fine.

I think perhaps my investigation into a SCUBA class this summer is seeping into my subconscious.

You know, that sounds like a hugely spiritual dream.

How so? (I don't doubt it could be, though I've only a passing interest in dream analysis and not a lot of knowledge to go on.) It was fun, though- parts of it had the feeling of a flying dream only underwater.

i don't know much about dream interp either, but anything i've ever looked at about it talks a lot about all the different kinds of water dreams... esp if you are submersed in a body of water.. might be fun to look at a dream interp book.

i had some insanely interpretable dreams right after my gmom died.. they were extremely straightforward, though.. didn't need any dream interp books to figure'm out. quite clearly my emotions needed whatever release they could find.

your dream sounds like a load of fun!!!!!! i wish you'd brought your camera too!

...in an octopus's garden, with you!

But I think, I'm a fool try to breath under water

yay! sounds like we had fun. i had a dream last night that involved water.. though we were sort of windsurfing on it, but we'd fly up into the air for extended periods of time. i think i was showing s4 how to do it.
