tired

Got home last night after midnight, per usual. Had lotsa fun playing games.

Today I got to work before 8am, per usual. I ran into the drummer from [livejournal.com profile] vaxjo's old punk band on the bus. That was weird. He's in law school, now. We made somewhat excrutiating small talk for the duration of the bus ride until we both exited on the west bank and went our separate ways.

The fake coffee machine in the music building has a new flavor sensation in its ceaslessly amazing repertoire of two things that taste like crap. They're cheap and they're caffeinated, so I find myself drinking a lot more of them than I should. One is too many. Not only does "almond amaretto" not taste anything like it, it's redundant. Apparently my beverage judgement at 7:50am is questionable.

Work was pretty slow. I stuffed lots of envelopes and sat through my first really boring all-staff meeting. Woo. Then I visited [livejournal.com profile] rgeorge and then I went to art class. I am presently still covered in plaster from head to toe. I didn't have dinner, and [livejournal.com profile] r4c came to pick me up so we could practice. I hadn't had dinner, I'd postponed my pick-up time, and still wasn't done with my mold, so my plaster-making buddy told me he'd finish the last bits for me. I felt like a tool. I hope the mold turns out all right; My first (and most important) plaster coat was a little rough 'cause it started setting in the bucket. ugh.
Luckily for me, [livejournal.com profile] r4c hadn't eaten either, and we got Chipotle burritos. They were free, because we're rock stars like that. Or, I am a nice music office lady and cherub-faced bass players who work service jobs appreciate it when they see nice office ladies humorously out of usual context and also covered head to toe in plaster, and reward such things with free burritos. You pick.

Then [livejournal.com profile] sarendipatree called. Then Low Orbit Rocked Out. I'm fairly certain the show will be very good. We feel ready. I'm excited to play. You should come.

Then I was tempted to play pinball with the wonderful company of r4c and mizz dewberry, but declined in the interest of self-preservation and want for sleep and a warm, long dose of plaster removal.

I came home to find a note on my computer from my lovely boyfriend, who's still at work. The floor is scrubbed and he left me Bunny Pasta in the fridge. He's the best.

I'm really tired.

Oooh! Bunny pasta!
I very much look forward to your show. Do you know what time you'll be on?

Not really sure of the lineup. We may be first. (starts @9:30p) But if you come early, you can see the composition for fire dancer happening in the courtyard!

I would love to come home to bunny pasta! I must tell Matt (we have a thing about bunnies; don't ask more).

BTW, what sculpture class are you in? I really enjoyed that class; I had Geshke for my instructor.

I'm in 1301, "Sculpture I"! I've got Baldwin as an instructor. I like him a lot.

Baldwin is great! glad you like the class. Did you happen to attend the resin casting seminar a few weeks ago? I found out about it too late, but by chance wound up studying it over that weekend.
