1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"You are wrong about her."

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?:
The file cabinet next to my desk.

3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?:
On actual TV? a Dateline about obese kids going to camp to try and get skinnier. It was on at my Mom's house a few weeks ago.

4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
9:17

5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
9:47

6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
My coworkers talking about a graduate student's file. Beyond the cube, there's paper rustling.

7: When did you last step outside? What were you doing?:
I was leaving the car, coming to work. I was hauling a bag full of metal scraps for my sculpture class in one hand, and a small soy latte from the Spyhouse in the other.

8: What are you wearing?:
Black Carharts that are still stiff after almost two years, obnoxiously green and shiny steel toed Doc Martens, my black tee shirt from the Seward Cafe that my brother gave me for my birthday, and a small grey hoodie that still smells like club. My underpants are boy-styled and black with neon stripes on them, and my socks are black.

9: Did you dream last night?:
I probably did, but I don't remember.

11: When did you last laugh? Proper full on, I can't breath laughing?:
Hmm. Not sure. Maybe in January? I laugh a lot, but I'm not sure about that huge kind of laughing.

12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?:
The School of Music staff and faculty and TA rosters, a small calendar with academic caledar deadlines, the pressed fairies I put up to make my workspace less beige, my sign with my name on it from the bead store, a flier from the SPARK festival, post-it notes with various bits of information on them.

13: Seen anything weird lately?:
Someone in a large, very fluffy bunny suit was at the Saloon last night. A lot of people wanted their picture taken with him. The ears were floppy and he wore overalls and a painters cap.

14: What do you think of this quiz?:
It's a little mundane.

15: What is the last film you saw?:
Hellboy. It was all right.

16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?:
I'd pay off my school loans. I hate being in debt. Exciting, huh?

17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:
My left thumb is double jointed and I can pull it back to my wrist. Maybe you know that.

18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?:
One thing? Make every congressperson live in the shoes for a day of a single mother in the ghetto or someone homeless.

19: Do you like to dance?:
Yes.

20: George Bush:
(sigh)

21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
I don't know. Maybe Colette, after my Mom.

21: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
I don't know. Maybe something Irish.

22: Would you ever consider living abroad?:
Hell yes. I have already, for a short time.

23: Will you pass on this survey?:
I did it already, so I guess not.

We're double jointed thumb sisters, then. Apparently, we're a rare breed. When the meteors hit the earth and everything is destroyed, it's us double jointed thumb warriors who will take over the planet.
