Easter and Eggs

Had a decent weekend.
Friday, s4 and I went to
windelina and Monte's party where we brought and helped drink a lot of wine. We were greeted with a huge "Yaaaay!" when we came in, which does a lot to make ya feel welcome someplace. It made me think of the earliest concom meetings when the Space Lounge Crew being announced would be met with lots of applause. Warmfuzzy.
Saturday, I attempted to get the title for the motorbike transfered, but didn't fill out one number in a space I didn't see, 'cause it'd worn away in the cardboard crease. So they sent me away. D'oh.
I cleaned the apartment some and then went shopping with
dangerdhotrod. The Mall of America is scary enough when it's NOT Saturday afternoon, yow. Then we went to Southdale and pestered
star5 at work and joined her for her lunch break. Saturday night I ate some dinner with
birdfigment and my brother and
pied_piper70 and
jcoppercorn before going out to Ground Zero with my brother and
lostbutton where I had an okay but not fantastic time and stayed up much too late.
Sunday I journeyed to the urban sprawl that is Savage, MN, for Easter Brunch at my aunt's house. The only consolation made for me was the removal of ham from half of the eggy-hashbrown thing. Either the family didn't know I haven't really eaten eggs for a while or they don't care. When I mentioned to my Mom that I don't really eat eggs anymore she looked at me somewhat annoyed and said "So, what, are you vegan now or something?"
...and then tried to offer that there was french toast in the oven. I mentioned quietly that the french toast was battered in eggs, but I was feeling like a terrible bother by this point. Because I'm not super strict about eggs yet and I was hungry, I ate a piece. I can tell my palatte isn't used to them anymore; while it would have been good last year, it was almost inedible to me now. Everything that didn't have meat in it was filled with sugar. There were caramel rolls and cinnamon rolls with frosting and fruit with brown-sugar dip. The only non-sweet thing I could have was coffee, so I had that. I was really shakey and ravenous by the time I came home, and I made myself a big veg-friendly lunch. I was still hungry after that and ate lots of really yummy food that
star5 had made for Sunday Sci-Fi.
I also got the battery for the motorcycle charged up and replaced, and it starts even better than it used to, now. Neat.
I went to work yesterday and was there for about an hour before my stomach started to hurt. A LOT. I decided that I'd try to stick it out for another hour before I gave up and decided the pain was distracting enough to warrant going home. Then I threw up. Vomiting is almost better than a fever for validating the fact that you don't feel so well. I don't know if the eggs are to blame or not, but they're my best guess. I've felt fine ever since, but was glad to go home. I slept until after 3pm.
Went down to Bloomington, as their DMV was open until 7. I now officially own my motorcycle. Yay.

Date: 2004-04-13 12:04 pm (UTC)We'll see what happens. I might really really want to go to a grad school in Oakland sometime, actually, but I'm not prepared to deal with that yet. And who knows if I'd get in. :P But if my friends keep leaving and the winters stay as freaking cold as they were this year...
