I successfully signed up for SCUBA class for May term.
I used to wish I was a mermaid when I was little. This will be so cool.

This May? Like, next month? Maybe I can join you?

Ooh, that'd be cool. Though, I'm taking them through the U for almost-free, so I'm not sure if it'd be worth it for you with the course fee, tuition and university fees and all of that. The course fee is $85 (that's what I have to pay), the tuition is probably about $200, and then there are some other fees as well. ..

Ooh. The $85 would be fine, but I dunno about the $200. Grmph.

if you end up with a PADI certification in the end then the cost ends up being what you'd pay to get certified any other way (i think i paid 2-something for my certification). unless you did it in mexico or someplace where your money is worth more.

I think you're kind of on your own to set up your open dives for certification, but most people do.
