Awfully busy for being unemployed...

Kind of a boring, what-I've-been-up-to entry:
On Friday, after spending my day alternately at the coffeehouse reading and at home attempting to get a mix together, I had sushi with a bunch of folks for
rgeorge's birthday. Sushi is fine and everything, but for what it is I find it really expensive, and hardly much of a meal. Maybe I'd feel differently if I actually ate fish. I wish more Japanese restaurants made miso soup without fish stock. Anyway, the company was lovely and the sake was fantastic, so no complaints. And I got to eat in the neato little room that has a specific Japanese name that I forget, and it had pretty lanterns and I found that sitting at low tables on the floor with no shoes makes for an intimate dining experience, even with, and perhaps because of all of the shifting and bumping into peoples feet that happened. Maybe we're just uncouth. After that I went to first Avenue for
djnoise's new night. Has potential to gain momentum I think, especially if we can get the Kobalt crowd back.
Saturday we went to the concom meeting. It was exceptionally long. I'd hoped to play some games later, but ended up in a post art-crawl crowd at a bar in Nordeast instead. It was crowded, and not quite what I wanted. So we had a drink and came home again.
Sunday I spent the day with Mom, and she bought me a new outfit to wear to my interview tomorrow. I look all professional in it. Kinda weird. I don't have many fitted clothes, especially businessy kinds of clothes. But, I look nice in it, apparently. I hope it does the trick tomorrow, especially since I was preliminarily denied unemployment benefits, with more paperwork pending. (sigh) I don't feel like dealing with any of that. But anyway, please wish me luck tomorrow. I think the job would be lovely.
Then we watched sci-fi, and lots of people brought food. Then I left to go to the radio drama rehearsal. Then I came back. Then, curiously, my face and lips started to swell up a lot because of somethingorother. I took some old allergy medication before bed and woke up fine. I hope that doesn't happen too much anymore; last time I had to go to the emergency room and I had to see an allergist and they never found out what caused it.
At least I don't have hives.
Today I was a good kid and made a doctor's appointment to take advantage of my insurance before I don't have any anymore.
Then I attempted to work on the mix some more.
Then
sarendipatree called since he's in town and we made a coffee date for after my doctor's appointment. Yay. Will be nice to see him again.
Then we ate veggie burgers at the punk rock bar, and brought
lostbutton some more cookies, since she had a less than perfect morning, and cookies make things better.
Then I played some Dance Dance Revolution.
Then I received an email from
djnoise asking if I want to come over and play DDR at their house. Hmm. I think I may.
