The Battle of the Shirt.

Okay.
I took the shirt that was nearly done completely apart.
Shortly after beginning to redo stuff, I ran out of thread.
I went and got more thread, and acquired black fusible interfacing. Fusible interfacing Rocks. If nothing else good comes out of this whole thing, the Battle of the Shirt has introduced me to fusible interfacing, and it is good.
The collar and the pieces are now re-sized (the collar is a full three inches smaller, yowza. How did I miss this before?). A pin-fitting suggests I might not be completely off with regards to the size of the whole thing (yay!), but only time will tell. I might have to move the dart in the front down a bit and it will be slightly tighter and slightly shorter than before, which might look better anyway.
Further updates as events warrant. I'm sure this is extra exciting.
s4 came to the fabric store with me. I lovelovelove the fact that my boyfriend likes going to the fabric store as much as I do. We also brought along a full tupperware thing full of change and cashed it in at the grocery store. It came out to almost $50, which we immediately spent on groceries and a movie rental. It felt like $50 for free even though it really wasn't. Neat.

The lady and I went to the mall the other day to return a piece of thing to Sears. We also went to Victoria's Secret, since she'd gotten a coupon for a free pair of underwear. Though we went to many other stores (Hot Topic, etc.) the frenetic atmosphere of the mall and the sticker prices discouraged us from actually purchasing anything else. We ended up leaving the mall with an overall positive balance of underwear and $6 -- in other words the mall lost money on our visit. Rawk.
Unfortunately we did not see the black widow that lives in the storm sewer that day. That'd've rounded out the whole experience nicely.
