Good things and bad things

good thing: I saw my paycheck. Once it's signed, it comes home with me. Presumably this will be before I leave for Burning Man. Yay!

bad thing: I can't get new contact lenses without some effort and some money.

good thing: My insurance probably covers an eye exam.

bad thing: It doesn't go into effect unil after I leave.

good thing: caffeine

bad thing: skipping it today and getting a caffeine headache

good thing: excited for the trip

bad thing: running out of time to do all the things I want to do to get ready.

good thing: roti

bad thing: tired

interesting thing:
Coworker told me the other day that he always waves at the hallway outside of our office because there's a ghost that haunts it.
I haven't seen it or heard it or felt it or anything, but now I'm intrigued. Makes me think of who and what used to be here when it was a railway warehouse instead of an artist's co-op.

I've had a couple encounters with a ghost. In fact, it's one of the things that made me realize there's more to the world that what meets the eye, and (in a way) kicked off my quest to find some answers about spiritual stuff.

Actually, I've been studying all sorts of paranormal stuff since I was old enough to read, but I didn't take any of it too seriously until I experienced it firsthand.

I've never had any definite encounters with much of anything paranormal (closest experiences are probably ouija board stuff when I was a kid, and who knows who's fooling you, really...) but I've always loved hearing people's stories and hearing about haunted places. There was a haunted twin cities tour I read about sometime that goes to places known to have ghosties, apparently well known places in town include the St. Paul Courthouse and First Avenue. That might be cool and it might be lame, depending how it was done.
