The next exciting installment in Spacebug and s4's attempt to get a new apartment

The site manager called and said the office asked him to send our application again. As in, they lost it. Or never got it. Or something. (Wonder what happened to our application fees and deposit then, hmm...?) They "put a rush on it", but we might not be moving next week after all. Good thing we paid our rent in the current little place with no heat though the month, I guess.

On the bright side, I'm hoping this means we won't be paying an extra half-months rent for November. I think that'd be fair...

If we end up temporarily homeless because of this, I'm going to be upset. Given our current landlords, I really doubt this, but I'm just saying.

Gah.

I'm pretty experienced now and living out of boxes and half-here/half-there... if you want help with all that let me know ;P

But seriously, that sucks but it'll all work out. And you'll probably save money on not having to pay half of November rent when you couldn't live there anyhow. They may not have wanted the place sitting empty all month, but it's kinda their fault that it has been so they shouldn't make you pay for it.

Yay! If ya'll need boxes, let me know. I can get lots of (empty) booze & wine boxes (handy for books/cds/movies) from S's work.

I hope it works out. Just so you know, we have a spare bedroom that you are more than welcome to stay in and some storage space for stuff should things get messy. (Hopefully that takes some stress away?)

*keeping fingers crossed*

There are couches at the Pirate House...
You're always welcome...
As I keep saying, in this day and age, we've got to stick together...

Ah, such niceness. I'm not really that worried, I just really like the place we saw and want it now,(I'm kinda like Veruca only less snotty and more artsy and my family's not rich anymore) sprinkled with my general dislike of things like bureaucracy and background checks and credit reports. I'd bet the nonexistent farm that our current place would be happy happy to take another month or two of rent from us, seeing how the building is half empty as it is, and even if push comes to shove, Mom lives in Bloomington. It'd be a sucky commute, but hey. But really. I'm sure we're gonna get the place, it's just a matter of when...
