Free stuff and moving.

Yesterday, a singer named Courtney Yasmineh came in and gave us free stuff- a pile of comps to her cd release party and copies of her cd. She seemed a sassy and cool lady. I put her cd in for a listen, and while I'm not huge on the style (sorta poppy, sorta country), it's pretty well done. And even if you don't like her stuff, it's okay since she's playing with Ear Candy! And it's free! So, I'm very likely going to go- it's on Tuesday at 8pm at the Fine Line. Lemme know if you want a comp.

It looks like we're moving THIS SATURDAY. Please help me, as unless something interesting happens, it looks like s4 is working all weekend and won't be around much to help. I'd cash in my moving favors, except all the sneaky bastar.... uhm, friends deserving of nothing but affection regardless of distance, have moved out of state.

We'll say... 2pm, to give myself some packing time in the morning. How's 2pm? Who wants to help me heft stuff at 2pm on Saturday? Usual bribes of food and/or liquor apply.
We've got the rest of the month to take care of all the stuff we won't have ready, but if we could get the big stuff on Saturday that'd be awesome.

There's a Convergence Programming meeting at 2pm, but I can help out when that's done. Or if you need help on Friday, I can do that....

(As a very sneaky aside, it's very likely I will be moving to Programming department after this year's Con, so I need to shadow those guys for a bit.)

My lungs are in current 'impending winter' mode, and I absolutely can't be in any smoke. I started hacking after walking through a porch about the size of my own, where two people were smoking. Besides, I'm flat broke. I have BOX WINE at home...9.99$ for 5 liters.

Blarg. I'd be be up for all the way up to the Cabooze, though.

Shucks, I'd offer to swing the cover in exchange for packing help. Instead I'll have to buy you some beer, or some better wine...
