(no subject)

The reality of moving is sinking in, and all of a sudden I'm getting really nervous about it.

And then the stupid car stuff.

The first week I had Mom's extra car, I wasn't used to its horrible turning radius (Even worse than my Chevy Celebrity? " That's Impossible!", you say. But no, it's true.)
So anyway, I bumped the rear drivers' side of a car in the parking lot outside work. I changed spots and looked at the car and it didn't look too bad, so I forgot about it. This afternoon, there was a note on my car about how a scuff on my bumper is such and so many inches off the ground and it matches damage on my car and I have pictures and called the police and here's my phone number. (sigh) So I called the dude, left a message that said yes it was me, and now everyone I talk to says I should do or should have done something different. Go through insurance, don't go through insurance, should have admitted I did it, shouldn't have said anything, whatever. Anyway, it's totally stressing me out and I really didn't need this this week. In the grand scheme of things its peanuts, and I realize that, but man, it doesn't help. So now I'm worried about money and insurance rates and police reports and that this asshole might try to peg me with a hit 'n' run when I didn't think it was anything.

Bleh.

I have never stopped wanting an itsy bitsy hatchback, and have never understood the massive popularity of SUV's. How do people deal with those bigass things? I bet money this wouldn'ta happened on my little motorbike, boy howdy.

(sigh)

Soup was yummy. Wish my tummy would stop being dumb.

Have nice dreams, everyone.

Don't worry about a thing. It's really quite inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Don't let someone else's up-tightness get your nerves all rankled.

Moving will be some work, but it will all work out for the best and you'll be much happier soon. I hope I can get the rear seat in my truck to lay down. Otherwise moving big things will be tricky.

The police won't charge you with a hit-and-run (soooo not worth thier time)... There'd have to be significantly more damage and it's not as if you actually "ran", you simply didn't realize there was damage and had problems parking in that spot so you chose another.

The guy's a jackass, most people who live in western wisconsin and commute to the cities are. Have him get a gazillion estimates, if it's more than what the cost of a can of touch-up paint- make him deal with your insurance company ('cause they'll knock him down a few notches and be as big as a pain in the ass as he is.)

Moving ain't much fun. BUT- think of all the SPACE you'll have! And a studio to work in!!! And stairs!
