ooh, that is a good idea. me likey the stuff you've made using journal entries (a lot.) are you still planning on coming to sf soon? because my soon-to-be-rommate brett (who you maybe met in minneapolis? long dreds?) and i are starting something of a music house...my plan is to get as many random gizmos and sound-making crap/recording gear/crazy fun things in there as possible, and then just have it set up so people can come over and make things, play music, etc. so you'll have to come over when we get it all set up; maybe we can circuitbend stuff or something. ! :)
one other thing i once tried to get myself out of a music funk was a long-distance tape project thing (kind of like what the postal service did.) one person records one track all the way through, and sends the tape to the other person, who records another track over it, etc, until we think it's done. and since the other person is always waiting impatiently for you to send the tape (or CD or files or whatever) back to them, you can't spend too long debating what you want to add, which is nice.
