Had a very lovely weekend that managed the correct mix of going out, traveling, relaxing, and productive-at-home-time. I love when that happens! I'm sorry I missed paraselenic's derby fantasticals, though.
People on my flist keep talking about laptops. It makes me think about getting a shiny macbook pro. My current lappy is turning... 3 this year? I really don't remember. But now that I'm using some pretty processor-heavy software it's making me think about upgrading. Unfortunately, I can't afford it. Well, I might be able to afford it, but there are other things I'd rather do with a pile of money first, which is kind of the same thing. No matter, I still love my little shiny G4.
The holidays are going to come careening down on me when I'm not looking. I mean, crap, it's November this week. When the hell did that happen? This also means I turn 30 pretty soon, which, while not a huge deal, does kinda have that gettin' old feel to it. I'm looking forward to seeing figment and azure for Thanksgiving.
S4 and I have been excited about the steampunk style of late, and joined a steamfashion community on the ye olde lj. I'm just about over it. I think about three more posts that consist of nothing but a) people looking to sell their uninteresting (to me) jewelry made of watch gears on their etsy page, b)recovering goths feeling all excited about their new interest in earth tones (okay, okay, I kind of resemble this remark) or c) gothic lolitas excited about their new justification for corset expenditures, and I'll take it off my f-list. Nothing against these things, really, but 10-15 of them a day is getting boring. (This recent post of hilarity does give me pause, though.)
My other most recent favorite bit of funny I found on the internets is this.
Okay. Back to work!
