Ion is dead. Needs the main board replaced, to the tune of $400. And then there's shipping. If we count the trip to the shop last year that put me back ~$100, if I get this guy fixed again, I'll have spent more on repairing it than I did on purchasing it.

I haven't totally decided, but I think I might never see my 'board again.

The $400 quote is from an unnamed shop in New Jersey where EMI sent it once they couldn't fix it and after EMI said that Alesis told them they no longer do factory repair.
