So I agree with [livejournal.com profile] rahna- it doesn't feel much like a party day today, somehow. My big time for party mixed with reflection and goal setting has shifted in the last four years to be centered around Burning Man instead. It just lends itself much more spectacularly to that kind of thing than a harried week of being broke right after Christmas and the myriad of family birthdays.

Don't know what I'm doing tonight. I feel like something more mellow. Not sure what that'd be. Other options:
Party at vaxjo's little brother's house?
Look Ma, No Pants?
First Avenue?

hmm.

I am attending #3 (Emily has comps if you need one) and then #1. Wish I could do all three, but there's only so much Ethel to spread around.

I don't know what Joe and I will end up doing - call him if you want to try to get him to come up with something firm. ;-) But it seems likely to me that we will end up at #1 at some point. Possibly around midnight.

And I'm not really feeling very party-like right now, either. I'm blaming it on the sleep deprivation, though.

I will be at #3, followed by #1 myself. Hope to see you at some point.

just to be difficult, i'll point out that there also will be a World Wide Music hooha at dinkytowner. if i were in mpls, i'd be at least dropping in on that.. no doubt free cds will be randomly handed out.

I get to work tonight.
Likely, after that, I will go straight home to snuggle w/ my sweetie who claims he's going to stay up until I get home (to immediately crash thereafter?)

I'm in denial about it being new year's as I don't have time to do anything fun.

(Hey! something mellow might be hanging out w/ T and I and watching BSGalactica!! - eh, just a thought)

I don't feel party-like either. It's a conspiracy.
However: Look Ma No Pants is tonight??!? This could be a plan for me.

Happy New Year and stuff. :)

Who needs more holidays at this time of year? Putting BM in August is good timing, as there's nothing else going on around then. Maybe we could postpone NYE for a couple months; there's not much worthwhile going on at the end of February. I could use a party then.

We tried to go to the No Pants show, but neglected to get a reservation and it was sold out when we got there, so we went to the party. Thought about going to First Ave late, but tipsiness and a boy who worked the next day opted out of that one.
